Year 2000 Product Compliance Statement

A product defined as being Year-2000 compliant will not produce errors in date data related to the year change from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000. Any Y2000 compliant product will handle leap years correctly.

The compliant product will utilize specific, non-ambiguous representation, handling and interpretation of centuries represented by two digits if such representation is allowed by the product.

Year 2000 Compliance Statement

A/WWW Enterprises hereby certify that A/WWW Enterprises Isite version 2.06 or newer (Isite 2.x) is to the best of our knowledge Option ONE Year-2000 Compliant. In particular:

Isite 2.x software has been tested to certify that it should correctly process and use dates before, during, and after the transition from December 31, 1999, to January 1, 2000.  
Isite 2.x should not abnormally end or provide incorrect or invalid results as a result of date data, including date information for a different century. 
Isite 2.x uses internal non-ambiguous structures for date data to support dates and times to at least until 31 Dec 9999 23:59:59 UTC in the Gregorian reformed calendar.  Input, internal manipulation and output are explicitly and unambiguously represented to at least 31 Dec 9999 23:59:59 UTC in the Gregorian reformed calender.
Leap years are correctly handled.

Isite 2.x uses internal robust non-ambiguous parsers to identify user supplied dates and convert these to internal structures. These routines support many common non-ambiguous national and international date format conventions, including the much of the ISO 86011 date and time standard.

Isite 2.x utilizes specific, non-ambiguous representation, handling and interpretation of centuries in user specified date fields represented by two digits following the POSIX2 and X/Open3 guidelines.

Date validation and verification prevent non-compliant (ambiguous) dates from being entered via interfaces from other computer systems or via user interfaces.

Despite the date range of the internal classes, some date relevant functions, such as "date of file", rely upon Y2K Compliant system calls of the host operating system valid, typically, only in the range from January 1, 1970 to 2037.  A/WWW Enterprises has made all efforts to avoid potentially "Y2K unsafe" operating systems calls, however, some 3rd party applications may use non-safe Y2K relevant system calls. These, however, can only be correct if that OS is (at least "Option Two) year-2000 compliant. Concerns regarding year-2000 compliance of the host operating system should be directed to the provider of that operating system.

Specific platforms:

A/WWW Enterprises has not exhaustively tested this software on all platforms or all versions of operating systems that it currently supports.
